Project Overview

LDI predicts PC failures before they happen — one dashboard for an entire enterprise fleet.

Features:

  • Fleet-wide monitoring in a single view
  • Storage, battery and driver health, tracked per device
  • AI predictions that flag hardware before it fails
  • Crash analytics that trace a blue screen back to the device or driver
  • Installed apps ranked by their impact on performance

Challenge

IT managers only hear about a problem after it has already cost someone a working day. The loop is reactive by design: a ticket arrives, the damage is done, and every conversation starts from something already broken.

Process

The Lenovo Device Intelligence lockup beside the wider Lenovo sub-brand family — ThinkPad, ThinkSystem, ThinkShield, Yoga, IdeaPad, Legion, TruScale and the rest

I worked in the LDI team in Budapest — four developers, a BA and a PM — alongside colleagues in the US and India. I turned our hypotheses into prototypes for A/B testing, ran the demos where we gathered feedback, and worked day to day with the developers and the core design-system designers.

Deliverables

Dashboard screens for fleet health — storage, battery and drivers — plus the crash analytics view that traces a blue screen to its cause.

What I've Learned

I learned to design inside real constraints — a fixed feature set and an existing design system — and to make dense dashboards readable for the IT managers who live in them all day. It was a good team, in the office and outside it.
